This list is the coverage declared for the plan. We have not tested each country. In each one, the plan connects to the largest network, named on each country page. If a country is not on the list, the plan does not cover it. Countries with their own page: [all destinations](https://unlistedsim.com/destinations/).

## Which countries require ID for a local SIM?

The [SIM and eSIM ID registry](https://unlistedsim.com/travel-esim-id-registry/) separates country evidence for local activation from travel-profile purchase and visited-network requirements. It uses statutes, regulators and named operator procedures, preserving their scope and date. An operator checklist does not establish every national obligation; an IMEI exemption does not establish a subscriber-registration exemption. Unknown requirements stay unknown. No worldwide permission or exemption is inferred.

## Do local SIM rules apply to the Global eSIM in roaming?

A travel eSIM may use a profile issued outside the visited network. The antenna carrying the connection does not establish the identity requirements of the issuing subscription. Each source must be read for its own scope: local activation, foreign roaming and phone registration are different cases.

The [country registry](https://unlistedsim.com/travel-esim-id-registry/) records specific exclusions where documented and marks unknown treatment explicitly. A missing reference to roaming does not prove exclusion. UnlistedSIM asks for no ID document or required email at checkout; downstream requirements for an exact profile still need verification.

Some countries restrict the eSIM itself rather than the ID: Turkey has blocked the sites and apps of at least 35 eSIM sellers since July 2025, and Apple says eSIMs from non-China mainland carriers cannot be installed while you are in mainland China. Buy and install before you go.

## What does UnlistedSIM ask when you buy the Global eSIM?

No ID document, no selfie, no ID number, no email and no phone number: a random account number is your login. No email is asked at checkout or needed to log in; you may add one in the client area for receipts, reminders or recovery of the account number, and it stays optional. You top up a balance from $10 in crypto (Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC)) and buy the eSIM from it. We don't accept Monero (XMR).

This is a private checkout; networks still see device identifiers and location. In every country of the list, the network your phone connects to sees your device identifier (IMEI) and its approximate location. An eSIM is not a VPN: use HTTPS and, if needed, a trusted VPN for traffic confidentiality. See [who sees what](https://unlistedsim.com/who-sees-what/).

Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new eSIMs and top-ups, but it is not refundable. An eSIM that was never installed, or could not be delivered, is credited back to your balance; an installed eSIM is not refunded.

## Is the Global eSIM cheaper than a country plan?

Per GB, often not: a country plan, when one exists, often costs less per GB than the Global eSIM. The Global eSIM pays off on a trip through several countries, because one plan saves buying an eSIM at each border: the data allowance is used wherever you are in the list, until it runs out or the validity ends. For a trip to one country, compare with that country's page.

The Global plans start at $5.99, and the lowest price per GB is $1.89/GB. Country pages show their own plans next to the regional ones, so you can compare on the same table.

## Which networks and speeds can you expect with the Global eSIM?

In each country, the Global eSIM connects to the largest network, named on each [country page](https://unlistedsim.com/destinations/): for example, Orange in France. We cannot promise a speed. Each country page also gives the main local operators and the median speed of local subscribers (Ookla, August 2026) where we have them.

A travel eSIM in roaming can be slower than those medians. With home routing, the usual setup in roaming, traffic goes back through the home network before it reaches the internet, and that detour adds delay (IETF). Roaming profiles do not always get the 5G of the visited network, and we do not claim 5G for our plans.

## What should you check before you travel?

Check that your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR or later (Apple), Pixel 3a or later (Google), and most Samsung Galaxy S, Z and recent A models, with regional exceptions. Dial `*#06#`: if an EID number appears, the phone supports eSIM. Then install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi, turn the line on when you arrive, and do not delete the profile while you still need it. Details: [devices](https://unlistedsim.com/devices/).

- Install the eSIM before you leave, especially for mainland China and Turkey: see [eSIM in China](https://unlistedsim.com/esim-china-google-whatsapp/) and [eSIMs in Turkey](https://unlistedsim.com/turkey-esim-restrictions/).

- If one country is most of your trip, compare with its own page: a country plan is often cheaper per GB than the Global plan.

## Questions about the Global eSIM

### Does the Global eSIM work in every country?

No. It works in the countries of its declared coverage, listed on this page. A country that is not on the list is not covered. We have not tested each country. In each one, the eSIM connects to the largest local network, named on the country pages.

### Do I need to register the Global eSIM in each country I visit?

UnlistedSIM asks for no ID or email at checkout. Our 34-country registry separates local SIM identification, foreign travel eSIM purchase and roaming or device rules. Roaming identification is unknown unless a cited source establishes its scope; an unknown is not an exemption or legal permission. Device (IMEI) rules can apply separately, for example in Turkey after 120 days. Read the [dated country evidence](https://unlistedsim.com/travel-esim-id-registry/) before travel; this review does not establish whether a specific profile may be used.

### Is the Global eSIM a good choice for months of travel?

It is built for trips. Some countries limit long stays with foreign phones, such as Turkey after 120 days. We do not know yet whether our partner networks restrict a line that stays in roaming for months, and we found no published rule for this case (checked 9 October 2026). Read [long stays](https://unlistedsim.com/long-stays/) for the limits we found, country by country.

### Do I need a passport to buy the Global eSIM?

No. UnlistedSIM asks for no passport, no ID document, no selfie and no email. You top up a balance in crypto and the QR code and activation code appear in your account as soon as the eSIM is ready. Local SIM rules of the countries you visit are documented in the Travel eSIM ID Registry, with sources.

### Does the Global eSIM include a phone number?

No. Our eSIMs are data only: no phone number, no calls and no SMS. Keep your home SIM active in dual-SIM mode for bank codes, and use messaging or calling apps over data. See [which travel eSIMs include a phone number](https://unlistedsim.com/esim-phone-numbers/) if you need one.

### Which cryptocurrencies can I pay with?

Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). We don't accept Monero (XMR). You top up a balance from $10, then buy the eSIM from it, and what is left pays for later eSIMs and top-ups. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new eSIMs and top-ups, but it is not refundable.

### What happens if I cannot install the Global eSIM?

If the eSIM was never installed, or could not be delivered, its price is credited back to your balance. An installed eSIM is not refunded. Check that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked before you buy. For help, write to support@unlistedsim.com. Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week, including help with installing and activating your eSIM.
