Which devices can use a no-ID eSIM?

Phones, tablets, laptops, watches, GrapheneOS and travel routers: which ones accept a data-only eSIM bought with no ID and no email, how to install it, and what each device reveals to mobile networks.

Quick answer

Any unlocked device with an eSIM chip can use a no-ID eSIM from UnlistedSIM, a no-ID eSIM seller paid in crypto: iPhone XS and later, Pixel 3a and later, most Galaxy S20 and later models, and Wi-Fi + Cellular iPads. No Mac has an eSIM, and a travel eSIM generally does not install on an Apple Watch. Plans start at $1.09, with no ID and no email.

Guides by device

Each guide gives the compatible models with sources, the exact install path, how many eSIMs the device holds, what it reveals (IMEI, EID) and what can stop the eSIM from working.

How do I check that my phone supports eSIM?

Check the exact model against the manufacturer's list, then check that the phone is not locked to a carrier.

  1. Find the model. The marketing name is not enough: Samsung and Apple sell variants without eSIM in some countries, such as most iPhones sold in mainland China and Galaxy phones from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao (according to Roamless, an eSIM seller).
  2. Look for an EID. Dialling *#06# shows the IMEI and, on eSIM-capable phones, the EID, the identifier of the eSIM chip. On an iPhone, the EID is also in Settings > General > About.
  3. Check the carrier lock. On an iPhone, Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock must say "No SIM restrictions" (Apple). On other phones, ask the carrier. A locked phone may install a third-party eSIM and never connect.

If an UnlistedSIM eSIM turns out impossible to install and was never installed, it is credited back to your balance. The refunds page has the rule.

What does a device reveal when it uses a no-ID eSIM?

Its IMEI and its approximate location, to every mobile network it uses. Buying with no ID keeps your identity out of our checkout, but it does not change what the network sees.

  • IMEI: the device identifier, sent to each network the device attaches to. Changing eSIM does not change it.
  • EID: the identifier of the eSIM chip, used when the eSIM profile is downloaded.
  • Approximate location: the cells the device connects to.

An eSIM is not a VPN: use HTTPS and, if needed, a trusted VPN for traffic confidentiality. The who sees what page lists every party, and the exit-IP registry explains which country your IP address will appear in.

Devices and no-ID eSIMs: FAQ

Does a no-ID eSIM work on any phone?

No. It works only on a phone with an eSIM chip that is not locked to a carrier. That covers the iPhone XS and later, the Pixel 3a and later and most Galaxy S20 and later models, with regional exceptions such as most iPhones sold in mainland China. Check your exact model in the device guides before you buy.

Can I use an UnlistedSIM eSIM on a laptop?

Not directly on a Mac: no Mac has an eSIM as of October 2026. Install the eSIM on an iPhone, a cellular iPad or a travel router, and share the connection. Our hotspot rule per plan is not published yet, so sharing is not guaranteed. Read the Mac guide and the travel router guide.

Can I install one eSIM on two devices?

No. An eSIM profile is installed on one device, and most profiles can be downloaded only once. We have not published a transfer or re-issue rule yet. Buy one eSIM per device, and turn a line off rather than deleting it if you want to keep it for later.

Do I need to register my device or its IMEI with UnlistedSIM?

No. Checkout asks for no ID, no selfie and no email, only a crypto top-up from $10. Some countries have their own device rules for long stays, such as Turkey's IMEI registration for foreign phones; the restrictions tracker and the ID registry list them with sources.

How can I tell if my phone has an eSIM chip?

Dial *#06#: if an EID number appears next to the IMEI, the phone has an eSIM chip. Then check the exact model against the manufacturer's list, because some regional versions, such as most iPhones sold in mainland China, have no eSIM. Finally, check that the phone is not locked to a carrier: a locked phone may install the profile but never connect.

Which cryptocurrencies can I pay with?

You can pay with Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). We don't accept Monero (XMR). You top up a prepaid balance from $10, then buy the eSIM from it; unused balance never expires but is not refundable. UnlistedSIM asks for no ID and no email at checkout. The pay privately guide explains what each coin reveals.
