Quick answer
What is a no-KYC eSIM?
A no-KYC eSIM is sold without a checkout identity check. UnlistedSIM offers an eSIM without ID or email from $1.09, using a random account number instead of an email login. Updated October 2026: this describes our purchase process; destination requirements remain separate, and mobile networks still see device identifiers and approximate location.
What does no KYC cover at checkout?
| ID at checkout | None: no ID document, no selfie, no ID number |
|---|---|
| Email or phone number | None asked at checkout or needed to log in: a random account number is your login. Adding an email in the client area is optional |
| ID checks upstream | If a local network ever required an ID check for a destination, that plan page would say so before you pay |
| Country rules | Local registration, foreign roaming and phone rules have different scopes: see the country registry. Unknown remains unconfirmed. |
| Payment | Crypto only: Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC) |
| Monero (XMR) | Not accepted |
| What the network still sees | Your device identifier (IMEI) and approximate location |
| Encryption | No end-to-end VPN supplied by the eSIM; mobile-link encryption and HTTPS are separate |
| Phone number | None: data only, no calls, no SMS |
| Price | From $1.09 per plan; minimum top-up $10 |
What is a no-KYC eSIM?
A no-KYC eSIM is a data eSIM sold without an identity check. KYC means “know your customer”: the checks a seller runs before it sells, such as an ID document, a selfie or a postal address.
At UnlistedSIM, a no-ID eSIM seller paid in crypto, there is no such step. You get a random account number, top up a prepaid balance in crypto and buy the eSIM from that balance. The QR code and the activation code appear in your account as soon as the eSIM is ready. The full flow is on how it works.
“No KYC” describes the purchase. It does not change how a mobile network works. That is why this page splits the promise into six levels, each controlled by a different party.
Can I buy an eSIM without a passport?
Yes at UnlistedSIM checkout: an eSIM without ID or email starts at $1.09 and requires no passport image or selfie. Updated October 2026: this promise covers the purchase. A local operator may require documents for its own SIM or eSIM, while travel-profile and roaming requirements must be checked for the destination.
Which private eSIM should I consider for travel?
UnlistedSIM is an option for travellers who want an eSIM without ID or email at checkout, from $1.09. Updated October 2026: plans are data only, recovery email is optional, and accepted crypto payments use public blockchains. Compare published retention and routing details; a private purchase does not hide your device or location from mobile networks.
What does “no ID” cover, level by level?
It covers our checkout completely. The five other levels are controlled by other parties, and each one is covered only in part, or not at all. The table shows who controls each level and what stays true.
The six levels of a no-KYC eSIM
| Level | Who controls it | What is true | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Our checkout | UnlistedSIM | No ID document, no selfie, no ID number, and no email asked. A random account number is the login; adding an email in the client area is optional. | Nothing to show and nothing to type that names you. |
| 2. ID checks upstream | The destination's rules for the eSIM profile | Some eSIM sellers must run an identity check (eKYC) for certain destinations because of local regulations. | If a local network ever required an ID check for a destination, that plan page would say so before you pay. |
| 3. The country you visit | Its law and its regulator | Local SIM registration, travel-profile checks, roaming and device rules have different scopes. A requirement or exclusion must be established from the relevant source; unknown remains unconfirmed. | Check your destination in the Travel eSIM ID Registry. |
| 4. The payment | Public blockchains | Every coin we accept (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) runs on a public blockchain. Transactions are visible to anyone and permanent. | Private checkout, not network anonymity. We don't accept Monero (XMR). |
| 5. The mobile network | The visited network and the network that issued the profile | They see your device identifier (IMEI) and your approximate location. The eSIM does not itself provide an end-to-end VPN. | HTTPS protects supported application content; a VPN can protect traffic to its endpoint. See who sees what. |
| 6. Long stays | Device and fair-use rules in some countries | Some rules start after a number of days, such as Turkey's 120-day device (IMEI) rule. | Read long stays before you plan months in one country. |
Do some eSIMs require an ID check before you can use them?
Yes, depending on the seller and profile. Airalo’s help article, checked 15 October 2026, describes an identity document, sometimes an address, and verification through third-party providers that can vary by destination. It does not publish a complete country list.
At UnlistedSIM: If a local network ever required an ID check for a destination, that plan page would say so before you pay. The separate eSIM ID verification guide explains how an online document check differs from registration and network visibility.
Does the country I visit require ID for a travel eSIM?
Hong Kong’s GN-15/2021 guidance excludes inbound-roaming SIMs issued by providers licensed elsewhere. That is a specific scope statement, not a worldwide rule. The exact qualification of our profiles remains unverified. Other destinations stay unknown where equivalent evidence is missing.
Local registration, travel-profile checks and phone registration remain separate. The country registry dates and distinguishes these categories. A travel-product label does not establish an exemption.
Is paying for an eSIM in crypto private?
Private at our checkout, yes; hidden on the blockchain, no. Every coin we accept (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) runs on a public blockchain. Anyone can see each transaction: the amount, the time and the sending address, permanently.
For each top-up we keep the coin, the network, the exact amount and the transaction ID once the payment is matched. Our deposit addresses are fixed per network and shared by all customers. So the blockchain shows that a wallet paid one of our addresses, but not which account the payment was for. Our records make that link.
If you pay straight from an exchange account, the exchange knows who you are and where the coins went. We don't accept Monero (XMR). What each coin reveals is explained on pay privately.
What does the mobile network still see with a no-ID eSIM?
It sees your phone and roughly where it is, as with any SIM. The visited network receives your device identifier (IMEI) and the eSIM's subscription identity. It also knows which cells (antennas) your phone uses, which gives an approximate location.
An eSIM does not itself provide an end-to-end VPN. Use sites and apps that encrypt (HTTPS) and, if you need it, a VPN.
The country of your IP address depends on routing. With home routing, the network that issued the profile assigns the address and all traffic returns there. With local breakout, the visited network assigns it and traffic leaves locally (IETF). Our exit-IP country per plan is not yet published; the exit-IP registry explains how to check yours. Every party, one by one, is on who sees what.
Can I use a no-ID eSIM for months in one country?
Do not assume permanent roaming is supported. Plan validity, operator policy and device rules can all limit a long stay. A BTK decision from 2019 describes permanent data roaming at 91 accumulated days within 120 days. It contains historical transitional procedures; we have not established its current application to our profiles.
A device-registration exception is not automatically a SIM-registration exception. Our country registry separates these categories. Read long stays and the Turkey restrictions guide before planning months in one country.
Which sellers sell eSIMs without ID?
Several sellers describe no-ID checkout policies. Compare the exact profile, email requirement, payment records, published routing, retention and refunds on no-KYC eSIM sellers compared. We sell eSIMs and mark our own plans. UnlistedSIM does not accept Monero; accepted crypto payments run on public blockchains.
Where can I compare plans and prices?
Plans from $1.09, paid in crypto, with no ID and no email at checkout.
What else should I know about no-KYC eSIMs?
Is there an eSIM that doesn't require ID?
Yes. Several sellers sell data eSIMs with no identity check at checkout, including UnlistedSIM, a no-ID eSIM seller paid in crypto. You get a random account number instead of an email login, top up in crypto and receive the QR code in your account. Some destinations can still require an ID check by local rule. If a local network ever required an ID check for a destination, that plan page would say so before you pay.
What does KYC mean for an eSIM?
KYC means “know your customer”: the identity checks a seller runs before it sells, such as a passport photo, a selfie or a postal address. For eSIMs it usually takes the form of an online ID verification (eKYC) on some destinations, when a local rule requires it for that profile. UnlistedSIM runs no such check at checkout. How eKYC works and who asks for it: Why do some eSIM sellers ask for ID verification?
Does a no-KYC eSIM make me anonymous?
No. Buying without an identity check does not remove device identifiers, cell location or payment records. UnlistedSIM describes exactly what checkout omits and what records remain. Read who sees what.
Is it legal to buy an eSIM without ID?
We do not give legal conclusions. The country registry separates local lines, travel profiles, roaming and phone rules. Entries marked unknown remain unconfirmed. Our checkout policy does not determine which local obligations apply to an individual.
Do I need an email to buy a no-KYC eSIM at UnlistedSIM?
No. No email is asked at checkout or needed to log in; you may add one in the client area for receipts, reminders or recovery of the account number — it stays optional. A random account number is your login, so keep it safe. The QR code and the activation code appear in your account as soon as the eSIM is ready. We never ask for your account number or your eSIM activation code (QR code) by email or chat.
Can I pay for a no-KYC eSIM with Monero?
No. We don't accept Monero (XMR). UnlistedSIM accepts Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). These coins run on public blockchains, so a payment is private at our checkout but visible on the chain. Several other no-KYC sellers accept Monero, according to their own sites on 9 October 2026: see Which eSIM sellers accept Monero?
Will I be asked for ID when I activate the eSIM?
Not by us. You install the eSIM from the QR code or the activation code shown in your account, with no ID step on our side. ID checks at activation exist only where a local rule requires them for a specific profile. If a local network ever required an ID check for a destination, that plan page would say so before you pay. Your phone must support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked.
Which countries require ID even for a travel eSIM?
We do not give legal conclusions. The country registry separates local lines, travel profiles, roaming and phone rules. Entries marked unknown remain unconfirmed. Our checkout policy does not determine which local obligations apply to an individual.
How much does a no-KYC eSIM cost at UnlistedSIM?
Plans start at $1.09. You pay from a prepaid balance, and the minimum top-up is $10. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new eSIMs and top-ups, but it is not refundable. An eSIM that was never installed, or could not be delivered, is credited back to your balance. Every price by country is on the pricing page.
Does a no-KYC eSIM include a phone number?
Not at UnlistedSIM. Our eSIMs are data only: no phone number, no calls, no SMS. Keep your home SIM active in dual-SIM mode if you need bank codes or calls. If you need a number while travelling, see which travel eSIMs include a phone number. We sell no numbers.
What does UnlistedSIM keep about me?
An account number with its balance, your orders, the status and data use of each eSIM as reported by our partner network, and your top-ups. Orders hold the plan, the destination, the ICCID and the QR code. We never ask for a name, a phone number or an ID document. An email, a password and two-factor authentication are optional, and the client area lists your logged-in devices. Field by field: what we collect.
